Dress Form

Wahoo! After all these years of sewing, I finally bought a dress form! Yes, I'm excited.

Just had to share. :)
Ruth

edit: Emily just walked in and excitedly exclaimed, "Look! Mom got a mannequin without a head!" Too funny.

  2. That's great! Can you use the dress form for fitting more than one person in your home? As in your daughters and yourself. Does it change in size quite a bit? (I am not familiar with dress forms as you can tell by my questions.)

  3. Alisa, my daughters and I are all pretty much the same size (well, I don't have their tiny waists) so I'm hoping that it will work for all of us. I've never had a dress form before, so I'm not sure yet how much it changes in sizes. Maybe I'll write a post about the dress form after I've used it a bit.

  4. I haven't commented here before; I am an Australian, living in New Zealand, who loves your blog. I have 6 daughters, and some of us love to sew. Just thought I would let you know how it made me smile to see your Proverbs 31 cross-stitch in the background - I did this one for one of my married daughters, and it hangs above their bed!

  13. I have a vintage one named Molly, that I don't have the patience to adjust (we're talking like 20 levers, nuts & bolts)! Instead I use it for a prop in most of my photos for my etsy shop. Yours looks really nice!
