Stitch Markers Giveaway

With all my knitting lately, I found I needed more stitch markers.  I almost ordered some beautiful stitch markers on Etsy, but then I found this tutorial.  So I decided to make my own.

What I love about these stitch markers is that they do not snag the yarn.  There are no rough edges, and the slit in the jump ring is covered by the bead.  A bit of glue keeps the bead in place.  With coupons, this project cost me under $10.00.

For your chance to win one dozen of these beaded stitch markers, made by me, leave a comment on this post telling me what is your current knitting project or your favorite knitting project.  Oh, a crochet project will count as well.  I learned to crochet before I learned to knit, and I have fond memories of my grandma teaching me.

I will close the giveaway in a week or two (busy summer days!!!) and I will ship internationally.

  1. Beautiful stitch markers! I learned to crochet first as well. I bought a book and taught myself when I was in high school. My favorite knitting projects are fingerless mitts knitted from my small amounts of handspun yarn. I love to make them for my family and for gifts.

  5. Those markers are gorgeous! I'm currently knitting Miranda Hats (with Evelyn of ProjectStash) for charity and I use five of those ugly plastic things... I was just saying I'm putting pretty stitch markers on my birthday-list! Wouldn't it be great to just win them instead??? :D

  7. I am knitting a dishcloth. Just something nice and easy to knit while I sit and watch my daughter playing in her sand box. :)

  8. The stitch markers are wonderful...good job! Just finished a set of pullovers with crew neck & placket for our twin grandbabies. Used self striping sock yarn, and they 'somehow' turned out to be almost mirror images, like the little ones. Isn't that fun? Photo on my blog. D.

  9. I'm just a beginner, but those are soooo cute! I'm trying to convince myself to start something for our baby coming in February, but I'm waiting to find out whether we're having a boy or a girl! If it's a girl there's a cute sweater I want to try!

  10. I am working on a ruffled scarf and I always have a dishcloth on my needles for some mindless knitting before bed or in the car. I probably wouldn't use the markers, but would pass them on to my husband who does much more complicated projects than I do. These markers are much prettier than the little nondescript rings he has. :)

  12. I've got a couple of pairs of socks on the go, but the project I've been working on most lately is a Hitchhiker shawl. It's a perfect travel project because the pattern is so simple and easy to memorize.

  13. I'm working on thin socks for my charity group, Mittens for Akkol. Since I learned to knit socks, I've become addicted, I'm afraid.
The markers are beautiful, you're very talented. I'm sure I would botch making them and have parts rolling on the floor, lol.
