Easy Laptop Sleeve
Recently finished project: a laptop sleeve for my sister's birthday. She recently got a laptop and needed something to protect it when it is traveling in her bag. Basically I took the measurement of the laptop and added a bit of ease. It fits pretty snugly. I used a cotton fabric for the outside, a sew-in interfacing, and a lining of fleece. The strap closes with Velcro. I was so happy with how this turned out, and Heather loved it too! I wonder if these would sell on Etsy?Jessica
Looks like a good thing to try on Etsy. Do one and see how it goes.
ReplyDeleteI may try this for my daughter's laptop.
I think it's great and I'd bet it'd sell on Etsy. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteThis is very cute. I definitely think this would sell on Etsy. You could use it as a magazine file or a document wallet too - to keep all your paperwork in order in your bag!

ReplyDeletehi! i stumbled upon ur blog post while googling "sew laptop sleeve". haha. this is so pretty!! the best DIY sleeve i've seen so far =) it looks similar to the ones sold on fabrixcases http://www.fabrixcases.com/collection/laptop/main.html
ReplyDeletei wanna try making one like this. loving ur blog. God bless!!
btw, i heard that there is a risk of fleece generating static charges which could cause harm to the laptop.. not sure if it's true though =/ hope ur sister's laptop is doing fine!

ReplyDeleteAnna is right - fleece shouldn't be used for a laptop sleeve.
