McCalls 4745

What I'm working on this week...

I'll let you know how it goes...I've been working almost every spare minute since Sunday night, and I'm only about halfway done with the jacket. I must be a slow sewer!

Wish me luck,
Jessica

    Hey Jessica,

I'm making the same outfit and sounds like we're at about the same place. I put the lining in the upper part of the jacket last night. Whew! :-p I think I will tackle the trousers this afternoon and let the jacket rest a bit. Ha ha! Off to sew.

    Blessings,
    Gloria :-)

  3. Mom, I think it's going to be ok. I haven't even started on cutting out the pants, but the jacket is almost lined, and then I just have the bottom and sleeve hems, buttons, and buttonholes.

Gloria, I agree. Whew!! This is a big project. I posted a comment on Chole's blog to you.

    Back to the sewing room...

  4. Looks like lots of details. I took a tailoring class in high school and the think I found amazine was how many steps it took to make something "simple" look simple and elegant! I can't wait to see how this turns out. Another one of my blog friends is hurrying up to finish some dresses. The largest CW reenactment west of the Mississippi is a couple hours from us. I went last year and it was pretty amazing. It was fun seeing all the costumes and one day I'd like to try my hand at it too!
