I want to sew!

I want to sew. I really do. I think about it all the time and plan projects in my head. I buy fabric. And more fabric. But have I accomplished any sewing lately? No. I've been knitting instead. You see, when I sew I like to sew for hours and hours on end. A whole day is nice. But knitting can be done in snatches of time--5 minutes here, 10 minutes there, in the car, during waiting times, and yes, even while homeschooling the kids at times. :) So...I have been knitting. That's cool. Knitting is fun.

BUT I WANT TO SEW!

  1. I want to sew too! But I have to make some mattress covers for my brother and I just can't get motivated. Meanwhile I know I shouldn't start anything else so I just procrastinate, lol. Unfortunately I don't knit.

  4. Knitting has definitely pushed sewing aside for me lately too.

I have growing kiddos in need of clothes though so I've got to put it aside soon. Easter will be here before we know it!! :)

I love your knits though. Did you find the blanket pattern on Ravelry?

  6. Well I want to sew too and I'm suffering from a little loss of mojo. Your knitting is gorgeous, I envy anyone with that talent. Someday I will figure it out, I just know I will.

  7. Karen--I don't remember where I first found the pattern, but it is published by Cottage Creations. Here's a link: http://www.loopyarn.com/Detail.asp?ProductID=49372

Thanks, all, for the lovely comments.

  8. Wow, you are getting lots done and it all looks great! I got the new Ottobre the other day and now i have been wanting to sew even more, though I was disgusted this time that all the young girls have on lipstick and eye shadow. They never did that before... or if they did it wasn't so dark and obvious. Ick! Digital scrapbooking has kept me from both knitting and sewing.
