Been knitting.... thought I'd share a few pics of the wrist warmers I made for Jessica and then for myself. (I liked hers so much that I decided to knit another pair for me!) These things are great--never thought I'd like "gloves" without the fingers, but these really are warm while allowing fingers to be free. :-)
The pattern: Hand/Wrist Warmers from the book Last-Minute Knitted Books that I checked out from the library
Yarn: Lion-Brand Wool Ease for the red pair and Stitch Nation Full 'O Sheep for the black pair
Needles: size 5 double pointed needles
The pics: Ellen took one picture and then another and another and another...with little regard to my protests. Goofy girl...we had fun...she's a sweet, fun-loving, soon-to-be-fifteen (sixteen days!!), loving daughter.
Happy sewing (and knitting),
Ruth
These are so cute! I love the photo shoot. You can totally see how much fun you are having.
ReplyDeleteVery cute gloves and fun photos.
ReplyDeleteLooks fine and I love "Stulpen" like they called in german in cold days!
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty! Fun photo shoot. :-)
ReplyDeleteI also have a question for Jessica - a while back you posted about an iron that you bought and really liked. I put it in my wish list on Amazon, thinking ahead to when I would need a new iron. How is it still working for you? My iron went "kaput" and I need to get a new iron, so I'm looking at my options.
My smilies in comments always end up with a broken face. LOL
ReplyDeleteTammy, yes, I still have and love my iron. It's held up really well, and I haven't had any issues. The construction seems pretty sturdy. The link to the original review is below...happy ironing!!

I hope this doesn't seem like a weird question but why wrist warmers? Don't your fingers get cold? I like them but I'm not sure when to use them.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see your photos Ruth, I can hardly believe that you are a grandmother!
Thank you for the reply, Jessica! I think I'll be getting that iron.
ReplyDeleteThose are some pretty awesome wrist warmers!!
