Distraction

I was cleaning my sewing room today (you wouldn't believe the clutter!!!), but then I got distracted by this Ottobre magazine with the cute gingham blouse on the front. Out came my sketchbook and Sharpie markers.... I think I know what my next sewing project is going to be. I just need to decide on what style of skirt to add to the bottom of the blouse.

The fabric I'll use will be the Little Honey voile from Anna Maria Horner. I can't wait to get started.

But first I need to finish cleaning my sewing mess.

  1. Ooh, I've got that fabric too, it's going to be a summer dress for me just as soon as things warm up in about 4 months (it's winter here atm).

Gorgeous fabric! I am jealous of your sketching skills! I like the second skirt you drew -- the one that isn't colored in. I need to go clean my sewing area too... Is it terrible that I'm ordering pizza tonight so I can sew instead of cook?

  4. That is going to be so cute. We talked about your voile in OKC, you are making gorgeous things from it. Where did you buy it?

  8. I wish I could draw like you! I too, am jealous of your sketching skills! Even if I did, I wouldn't be able to create a pattern based on my own drawing. You're very talented!!

  10. Oh, I love that pattern too! I would have to make it out of a fabric that has dogs on it in order for my girls to wear it. They are very picky about their clothes. Actually, they are very tacky with their clothes, but they're only 3 yrs old, so I guess their tackiness is cute. ;)

  11. Wow.. That little girl has a future. I am sure that she will become one of the most famous fashion designers. I can see it in her drawings. She has very good and crafty hands.
